With a pay per call service, in the middle of a very competitive market, you will attract not the low spend crowd, but the long talk crowd. You will move a lot of minutes from other providers to your service, but as you have no fee they will not cancel their other service. They will keep the other guy for incoming and short calls, and use you only for their predictable long calls. Sheilas who now feel slightly guilty for tying up the phone for 45 minutes, will feel no guilt for extending their conversations. If your termination costs are $0.005 they will break you with calls lasting more than 20 minutes. IMO excessive consumption of Fosters and Vegemite lead to bad business decisions ... we yanks will smoke 'ya. |
