| Engraved Text Since everyone was having such fun with the text tutorials, I thought I'd give you another one to try. This is a really easy effect to make and is quite useful for headers and the like. =o)
•Create the text as a selection.
•Defloat the text - Shft+Ctrl+F
•Create a new layer.
•Click on Cutout.
•Fill interior with color - not selected
•Shadow color - black
•Vertical offset - 3
•Horizontal offset - 3
•Opacity - 100%
•Blur - 5
•Create a new layer.
•Click on Drop Shadow.
•Color - white
•Vertical offset - 1
•Horizontal offset - 1
•Blur - 1
•Opacity - 100%
Delete the layer that has the original text on it and then you will have the outline of the letters. Put this on a background and you will have engraved text. =o)

| You did the opposite version actually. =o)
If you have the black on the top of the letters and the white on the bottom, they will appear to be engraved. However, if you do the opposite, they will appear to 'stand out' from the page and have more of a 3D effect.
Both are a nice effect. =o)
