im have dsl with windows vista and using aol 9.0
im using aol 9.0 because when ever i click on a email address in craigs list, it forwards the address to the mail box where i can type stuff without manuallying entering the email address. my problem is aol 9.0 keeps shutting off and on. i need simple clear instructions on how to get rid of this problem.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by saying "AOL keeps shutting on and off" Can you explain? Are you saying you're constantly getting disconnected from AOL? Or something entirely different?

I have the same problem with my computer. I just got a brand new dell computer last week with windows vista and either it freezes up or disconnects and connects on its own. It is soooo annoying. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Not sure if this may help. I can't really replicate the problem here. I'm thinking ACS may be the bugger here. And its automatic fixes usually doesn't help much for some stupid reason. Uninstalling it and having AOL rebuild can sometimes help with this. Anyway, go to Start Menu >> Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs.

When the list is populated, Highlight AOL Uninstaller and click Change/Remove or Add/Remove. Select AOL Connectivity Service and click Uninstall and click Yes to get rid of it.
Once that's done, click Restart to restart your PC.

When you log back into windows, start up AOL again and create a new connection.

Let me know if this helps some.
