I know they are virtually the same game and use the same engine, but which game has the better campaign? Is CoD5 equally as good MP wise? Guns, scenery, etc... |

I had a better time with the singleplayer in CoD4. However, there are moments of greatness in CoD5's singleplayer, like the PBY mission.
The multiplayer is much better as there is more to do. You get the typical experiances from CoD4, but you also get the zombie survival mode, and online coop. |

1 edit | reply to durty_nacho I went back to COD4.
I liked the single player in COD5 but like COD4 I only play it once and don't go back to play it again.
COD5 has a lot better graphics and the maps are bigger but for some reason I don't get the same thrill I get out of COD4.
Breaching a room with my M16 and a group of marines just feels a hell of a lot more fun than breaching a room with my Thompson.
Like mrchris , I did the WW2 thing many times before so maybe that soured me to the whole thing. I am giving it a shot because I paid good money for it but I am still not finding the same thrill I got from COD4 and find myself going back to it over and over again. |

| reply to durty_nacho I think the single player in COD4 was slightly better. Although the single player in COD5 does have its moments.
COD5 does have coop/zombie mode, which is freaking awesome. The only problem right now is that there's a bug that causes only a few of the many coop/zombie servers to show up and you can't connect to most of them. But I usually just create my own server and wait for people to join and that's working as an alternative for now.
As far as multiplayer, I don't really know if I'd call it better than COD4 multiplayer. I like both a lot. Calling in the dogs in COD5 is really satisfying. I'd say both are equal in the multiplayer department (not including coop/zombie).
And COD5 runs suuuuper smooth and loads suuuuuper fast. |

| reply to durty_nacho I'm burnt on the WWII theme. COD+UO, COD2, COD3 (but console only). Also all the Medal of Honor games... the WWII theme needs to go on the side track.
I enjoyed COD+UO the best, but COD4 was a fresh new step since it was modern day. I was hoping COD5 was modern times as well but it wasn't
Hopefully COD6 will be modern or shortly into the future. |

Don't forget Brother in Arms. |

i never played CoD4 MP but i played the WaW beta demo a lot and really enjoyed it in Hard Core mode. |

| reply to durty_nacho endless waves of enemies that endlessly respawned forever until you passed invisible scripted markers, and then theyd disappear behind you? no thx. cod4 SP was the most scripted, linear, unoriginal SP ive ever played. it wouldnt have been that bad if you could kill all the enemies in a zone and then advance, instead of killing the entire zone, advancing 20 feet, rekilling entire zone, advancing another 20 feet, and repeating until you beat the game. the sniper level in chernobyl was very cool, though, even if the sniper rifles very completely worthless compared to the scoped assault rifles. -- Somnambulator - t3h 5133pw41k3r

While linear, and scripted I enjoyed the COD4 single player campaign. Although it did not provide much replay value for me. -- Making procrastination an art form since Pluto was still a planet. |
