SSH not working on Fedora 9

Hi all,

I'm fairly new to linux, but trying to learn.

I setup the SSH client according to this site:

But I can't connect. The server won't even connect to itself, because its timing out. I disabled the linux firewall, port forwarded port 22 on my linksys BEFW11S4 from port 22 to port 30 as protocol both for the ip address of the server and it still won't work. It keeps timing out..

Anyone have any advice?

Well, it wouldent login. So I went on terminal and typed ssh -2 -v localhost and it made a security key or whatever, then it connected fine. Sounds weird, but I don't guess that it had the security rex key until I did this on terminal.
