It was not youtube messing up. The problem was the former <object> tag attributes. IE could not get far enough to even fetch anything from youtube.

For flash stuff the <object> tag exists Only to support IE and its [choose explative] ActiveX crud. All other browsers ignore that and instead use the <embed> portion.

IE does not like the coding of the <object> tag used there to run Flash:

Try using Macromedia's recommendation of the classid= attribute for IE.

I don't do Flash, maybe someone else will chime in with a better suggestion.
