afternoon folks. friend of mine put this together for me. anything that could or should have been changed? looking to play a2a combat games. have microsoft flight simulator gold edition installed so far. intel core 2 duo e8400 3ghz 6mb intel c2d p43tf ddr2 800 ddr2-800 2gb pc6400 ram asus 20x dvdrw lightscribe sata seagate 160 sata 11 8mb hd evga egeforce 9600gt 512mb ddr3 pcie sagita midcase 500w xp home sp3 acer 19 widescreen. tks for any comments. frank. |

| ditch the pwr supply and get a high quality one as this is the one area you do not want to go cheap cause if it fails it can take out your entire system.
look into one of these brands based on your budget
corsair pc power & cooling ocz thermaltake antec
corsair is probably the best out in terms of performance and quality and highly recommend |

join:2004-01-21 Gurnee, IL | reply to bonnieville Very good build overall. As mentioned, pickup a higher quality PSU, and the 9600GT is a poor choice right now. You can pickup a 9800GT or 4850 for not to much more and they are significantly faster. |

| reply to bonnieville I have yet to build my own gaming or media computer, the 360 still stunnes me on certain games, And with all my money going to the state I can't justify the price differences of the two for the graphics differences of which I'm partial to graphics. Hopefully in the next century or so I will build myself a box. good luck hope you get some good graphics/gameplay plus you built it. That's the real cool part  |
