Southern New Jersey Installation Question

I am scheduled to have my FIOS internet and phone installation next sunday. I live in the 08003 area. Can someone tell me if I should expect my Actiontec to be hooked up via coax or ethernet? I assume this varies from one location to another.

All new installs are COAX only.

So if I want to use my own router (D-Link DGL-4500)I am going to have to run ethernet from my ONT to my router?

Ask the installer if they will do the ethernet. They did it for me. Either way you need their router to get VOD and the channel guide. I have their router behind my Linksys(ethernet)with no problems. See the networking section at »Verizon Online FiOS FAQ
to see how to do this.

No TV for me, just internet so I don't think I have to worry about that.

If you want your router connected via ethernet, providing a prewired cable goes a long way in convincing the tech to hook it up that way
