What is the networks purpose?

This looks like an office network, not a carrier facility.

I say either a highschool computer room or a college computer lab. BTW, the CaT5 "waterfalls" on those hooks are a little too sharp if I'm right. I doubt it would cause you any problems, but I'm just being a grump

I'm also curious because you're showing a pile of networking stuff, then in the middle have what I would HOPE to be a phone system cross-connect block or a punch block for phones (I dearly hope you haven't punched those CaT5s onto it, or at least if you did they better not be for networking)

Right-On it's a highschool....
I will have more network pictures tomorrow when they finish putting in the CAT-5 and fiber...
The punch blocks are for the phone system.

Hehehe I was gonna say the same thing about the photography lol.

I wanna even go so far as saying Canon 50mm 1.8 lens, but the DOF actually looks deeper than that so it's probably a zoom.

Oh shit LOL!
I just looked at the EXIF for the last shot of the switch and indeed Canon 50mm running at 2.0 so my guess it's the 1.8 as the Rebel series doesn't like running at 1.8 (Wide open) too well.

LMAO I seriously picked that out of my head before reading the EXIF. But then again I shoot a lot with that lens.

EDIT - The Canon Rebel doesn't like running THAT lens at 1.8 (I don't think it's the camera specifically but more the lens that doesn't look very crisp at 1.8)

Oh yeah, the "plastic fantastic".

I picked one of them up before christmas. Seems pretty good on my 50D at f1.8.

They are quite zoomed in on their own, especially if you dont have a full frame sensor.

Hehehe The nifty-fifty. Or as I like to say "I love that little piece of crap!"

It's an awesome lens, and yep pretty zoomed on a crop sensor, almost a little more than I'd like it to be. But I have a wide angle thing so that could be just me.

I usually don't shoot it lower than 2.0 just because at 1.8 it seems to soften up quite a bit. But at 2 it's perfect.

Why are there two fire alarms right next to each other next to the door in that last picture of the lab?
