[DVR] Why Can't Verizon fix this problem?

here seems to be be a problem with mine, My old box still shows up in FIOS TV Central, along with the new one . The old box needs to be deactivated and the new box activated. The STB is a media DVR and does currently have Remote DVR service on the website but it don't work. I have called multiple Times and no Tech can seem to fix it. Even thought the box is no longer on my account it still being accessed by the FIOS TV Central site. HELP

QiP6416-2 Unit Address

0001094225756075 OLD returned to Verizon over 2 weeks ago.

0000027119140074 New Remote DVR is active on STB, but not the web

My Set Top Box screenshot
As you see here, the wrong DVR is active. The bottom one is a Media DVR with Remote DVR Active on the STB, but not the site. The option to update it is not available

I would post in Verizon Direct as suggested. You may want to also blur out your name and some of the digits on your current DVR unit address. Not sure if it matters, but better to be safe than sorry on the net. Good luck.

Hi Kitty. If you don't get satisfaction from someone at the verizon direct forums here, (they're pretty good though), try posting at the verizon forums on the verizon website. Accessed by going to the verizon main site (www.verizon.com), pointing the mouse to support, and then click on forums. There are several techs that watch those forums and help too.

I myself had a similar issue, got a hd dvr with the media feature. Wouldn't activate, kept getting an error message. They sent another one, it activated, but like you they had the other dvr listed as the media one. I got lucky with tech support, called them, told them the issue, that is the same as yours, and said I want the dvr with this serial # to be the media dvr. Took tech 5 mins and all was well.

It did take the remote dvr feature 24-48 hours to show up on the new dvr and at fios tv central once the tech made it the media dvr. Got a message on the dvr one morning and activated and all has been well since.

I have posted it at Verizon's forums, but no response. The weird thing is, Remote DVR is working on the box, but activating is impossible, because there is no way to enter your confirmation code on the website.
