email at the new AT&T yahoo email SUCKS!

hello, i am so frustrated. a week ago, we hv a msg in our inbox telling us that we MUST merge our email site which is bellsouth.net to the new AT&T powered by yahoo email. we did! what a BIG MISTAKE. there is too much commercial on our emails. everytime, we hv to login with our password to read our emails. and there is BIG advertisements almost covering the whole screen. come, on?!! what is this? i hv called the rep. to find out why this is so. NO GOOD REPLY and guess what? we CANNOT switch back to our old bellsouth.net site. this really sucks. we're hunting for better email services BUT definately not one that is powered by yahoo. ;((((

1) Use a PC based email client.
2) 1&1 has an email plan for $0.99/month.

To add if you want to use a webmail interface versus AT&T email with Outook or Windows Mail or Outlook Express...

»helpme.att.net/results.php?all=0&category=10

...then Gmail works well IMHO. Its free...

»mail.google.com/mail/help/intl/en/about.html

»mail.google.com/support/

I use one active Gmail account now and had a second for a long while before my normal Cox HSI email account implemented SMTP Auth and full SSL protected sessions.

The reason there are ads on the site?? Because there is unlimited storage on the email site. Unlimited storage has to be paid for somehow.

You can set Gmail up to get your bellsouth email then just use the Gmail interface to read all your mail.

Check the gmail settings for checking pop accounts.

Id like to see the statistics of actually how many people have actually clicked on one of those ads and actually bought something. I mean if im in the market to purchase something it is definitely not going to be from one of these obtrusive ads.

If they didn't work then the unlimited storage would be gone and the ads removed. So someone must be clicking them.
