Can you connect the modem to the NID and pull the stats from there? I'm guessing there is some sort of internal wiring problem. |

This does a parametric test of the line. As a back of the envelop multiplying downstream attenuation by 250 gives you some idea. Keep in mind distance is a function of type of wire used and bridged taps.
