| Mid-winter thaw?
It's all the way up to 33ºF here today. 
The sun is out, the driveways are clearing, the roads just have a few patches of slush left on them here and there... and it's supposed to get to 37ºF tomorrow.
Even the icicles on my eaves are melting... although having them drip down the back of my neck as I go out the door is a real bummer. I keep forgetting to time my exits between the drops! 
As much as I do like winter, I'm ready for a change! Bring on green!

40 here, sun is out also, driveways are visible, most streets still have slushy on them.
The piles of snow near my garage are still 4-5' high. 
I've got 16" of snow on my lawn - I know how high it is cuz I went out and stood in the backyard and the white crap is just at knee level.
I was playing a game at pogo.com...heard this loud 'thump'...went out to see what it was (birds tend to hit my diningroom window - wasn't the case this time)...a HUGE section of icicle from the roof eave had come down and hit the side of the house. Dumb thing was 4' in length and about 27" wide  Just missed the BBQ grill, but left a 'dent' in the siding. I expect to hear more *thumps* as the rest come crashing down.
Just glad nobody is around when they do fall.
I still prefer rain to snow.

40 degrees here as well, with some nice melting going on.
A short lived warm up.... by Saturday, it's a high of 9 and low of 0.
I'd rather have rain than snow, but rather have snow than ice.
I too am tired of this. |

We had highs in the 60's for a good chunk of June. Global warming my ass. Seems as if the winters are getting longer and summers are getting shorter around this neck of the woods. Thankfully Lake Erie is iced over or else with all this cold air coming over the lake even the secondary snow belt would be getting blitzed.
We'll see close to 40 tomorrow then it's back below freezing for all of next week.

| In SW Ohio we had plenty of heat last summer and no rain after July 4 till mid fall. GW is not proved nor disproved over a winter weather. Southern CA has seen unusually warm weather . What happens in one part of one state does not disprove anything. |

| It's been steady at 4-6 degrees for the past 3 hours or so. And that's NOT with the windchill factor either.
I see the tops of some of the trees moving slightly, but not too bad.
I'm still staying indoors...for the 3rd day in a row.
At least I have heat, food, my pc and my 2900 dvds to watch.

Neighbor next door just left for 4PM Mass - she's 81+. I could hear her slowly backing out her garage...*crunch crunch crunch*...that's ice and packed snow.

It got up to 47 here today, almost inspiring enough to get me working on my tan!
No *crunch, crunch, crunch* here. I take my snow blower and clear the alley and drives for most of my neighbors. It gets the alley clear sooner and doesn't turn into icy ruts that way. |

I am not sure what our high was but it was not very high and it was a bit windy as well. Anything that melted s now freezing over in a nice glaze.
Still have not had a plow come thru our neighborhood. |

Bloom County | It was ok - InkHeart - Wendi had to go and get the book - before we saw the movie. A bit hard to follow at times though. Saw a trailer for the new Harry Potter movie - looks good. |
