I couldn't find "How to debrick a WRTP54G"
You may want to describe exactly the symptoms.
Do you have a serial console to see if at least the boot loaded starts ? Does the power light blink when you power it on ?

Power light start flashing after powering the device and than wirless light comes on(both light get steady)and after 6 seconds or so all the light lights up and restart from power light again. This keep going on and on. I tried to press the reset button more than minute cycle the power with keep the button pressed, left is with internet and also tried connecting PC with it no luck, keep cycling. Hope this will help to understand the problem thanks

From my experience (I've seen at leat 3-4 doing the same), that router not bricked. The firmware loads properly if the wireless light goes on.
The voice part however may have gone bad. It may work with a better power adapter (a switched power adapter with regulated voltage).
If another power adapter doesn't work, you can desolder the part labeled Q5 (the voltage regulator for the Legerity chip - see the picture) and it should become stable but will work only as a wireless router (kind of an "unorthodox" solution, but I applied it successfully to 3 or 4 routers so far)

ok I did try a 2 ampare adapter and found the samw trouble and than I removed Q5 and now it is getting on. Here my question is is there any way to trace the fault or repair the VOIP section?? Can I try upgrading the firmware and see how it behave or this mean the VOIP is dead?

I have no idea. If I knew I would have fixed mine
I don't think another firmware would be of any help.

I have an RTP300 that was given to me by someone who stopped using Vonage. Everything I've read says I should be able to connect to it at 192.168.15.1 but that doesn't work. The only connection I've been able to make is with a reversal cable directly from my PC to the RTP300 Internet port. It is then that I learn that the RTP300 says its address is 169.254.226.127. When I connect to that address I get a login window but cannot get in by using admin/admin or Admin/Admin or user/user. Instead I get a screen telling me my login doesn't allow me access. Pushing the Reset button, powering off/on, and the combination of the two do nothing. I can't run CYT because it only works with addresses in the 192.168 range. So, how can I talk to this unit and make it take new information?

Power on the router and let it run for 2-3 minutes, then push and hold the reset button for at least 8 seconds (until the lights start flashing). After that, your router should be reset to the factory settings and should have the IP 192.168.15.1 on the LAN ports (unless it's defective).

I did as Toro suggested with negative result. I also gave it 30-second and 1-minute pushes on the reset button. Only one time did this yield a connection that allowed me to reach 192.168.15.1. On that connection I saw the Linksys login page and typed admin/admin. At that point IE7 popped its "remember this password" and by the time I got rid of that IE7 locked up forcing me to restart it. Since, then, no connections. Otherwise, this unit won't give a steady connection indicator light on any of the LAN (Ethernet, yellow) ports. The light will only flash occasionally on the port to which a cable is attached to other equipment. Can't ping the unit. Other suggestions?

Does the power light flash for several seconds every once in a while ? If it does, you may be dealing with a defective unit (see »Re: [Unlock] TUTORIAL: VONAGE WRTP54G/RTP300 WITH 5.01.04)

Power light is on steadily. The only times it flashes are when I power down/up or hit reset. After a power up and with the WAN (Internet) port attached to my router, the RTP300's LAN port will turn on and off at a slow rate that infrequently allows me to display the Linksys login screen. I found that by using Admin/Admin to login it says I'm not allowed at that level. Using admin/admin or user/user have not been successful because the LAN port connection doesn't stay up long enough to see a next screen. The LAN port rarely shows a connection greater than 2 seconds. How can I get this unit to give me a steady LAN connection?

I've been dealing with dozens of these routers before but I've seen only one with that issue. In that case it was a WRTP54G where the LAN ports were shot but the VoIP and wireless are working fine.
Unfortunately it's a hardware issue and I have no idea how to fix it.

Perhaps, you should consider waiting for this NAizer for CYT utility.

Mazilo, I can't use CYT because I can't establish a connection to the RTP300 through its LAN (Ethernet, yellow) ports. Those ports give highly intermittent, very short-term connections. The only data port on the unit that seems to work correctly is the WAN (Ethernet, blue) connection. Either I coax the LAN ports into working or find a way to log into the WAN port to program it.

When you did this process, did you have the WAN port connected to the Internet? If so, try to re-do this process without Internet connection.

I have tried with the WAN both connected and disconnected. As I said in a later post, I was able to get very brief periods of connectivity from the LAN ports that would show me the Linksys login page via 192.168.15.1. All of those happened when the WAN was connected but never when it was disconnected.

If you have the WAN port connected, what will happen if you disconnect the WAN port while you are able to get the LAN connection from your computer? Will the router still stable?

Unfortunately, the intermittent connectivity I get from the LAN ports is so short that have no time to try anything else. I might get a connection for 2 seconds, then it goes away, and it might or might not reconnect. Sometimes it's enough time to type in admin/admin which takes me to the page 192.168.15.1/cgi-dir/webcm where IE7 says it cannot display that page.

Do you have another unit of this device that is currently working? If so, try to swap their AC/DC adapter and see if this problem will get resolved.

I don't have another RTP300. I do have another 12V 1.5A power supply which I connected. No difference in the RTP300's operation.
