[DVR] New HD DVR price $10, but not for YOU! **RIPOFF**

Well, look at Insights website....HD DVR's are $10 for new customers but $15.95 for existing.

I tried to call and get the cost of my 2 existing ones adjusted, and they blew me off.

What a ripoff.

I guess the only way to fix this is to be a FORMER customer.

Yes I see that too, for some of us (like me) that have more then one box. It does add up.

So for me thats what $120 a year savings. (hey got to do it like they do the phone commercials)

New Customer Incentives

Why don't you become a former customer? -- that's a serious question: If you have an answer, then that answer explains to you why Insight is smart to offer new customers an incentive to switch, while not offering the same discounted price to existing customers. (If you don't have an answer, then you have only yourself to blame! )

Is it a promotional rate? If not, that's not fair IMO.

No, it is not a promo offer, so if you are persistent on the phone, they will give you the better price.

Be aware, this deal keeps it the same price if you only have one box. They upped the price of service $5 and decreased the cost of a box $5. If you have two boxes, you save $5 a month. They still don't have a clue in this regard. Still prohibitvely expensive to watch a package you are already paying for on another TV.

Their commercials still tout that they don't charge a $10/ month HD program fee like satellite. They fail to mention that they charge a $10 equipment fee PER TV. Very shady.
