5861 Console pin outs for adapter

Somebody emailed me, said they didn't get a console cable, and wanted to know how to make one. Figured I'd share with everyone:

RJ-45---DB-9
6-----------8
5-----------5
4-----------3
2-----------7
1-----------2

Keep in mind this is a female RJ-45, so the 1-8 are reversed

(ignore the dots in the pic, had to do it to keep the spacing

Excellent! Thanks. Here's the view of a DB9-Female from the solder side (back) for those who may need it.

I am much more lazy than dslknowitall (nice job by the way)
so here is the cisco version »www.cisco.com/warp/public/701/14.html
much like these forums I have found their tech support info invaluable.

enjoy
