| The "DIRECT" forums are a mixed blessing. They provide a place where users can provide information yet have that remain private. But the downside is that the solution to their problem often remains private instead of being out there for others with similar problems to see.
If Cox folk are managing to use public forums, with PMs where private information is exchanged, then IMO you are probably better off keeping it that way.

We have our OOL direct forum that a person can READ the original post, but can't post to OR read the solution. Sometimes I see things there that I would either like to comment on, or read solutions on, (usually not important enough to post a separate post about), but I'm curious as to the outcome....
