Help configuring ISDN on Cisco 804 Router

I'm trying to use my LocalNet account to access the Internet using my ISDN connection through AT&T and have been unsuccesful. I already have all of ISDN lines, phone numbers, and a CISCO 804 ISDN Router. I'm using the CISCO Fast Step software to configure everything. It seems to work and autodetect everything on the AT&T switch side, but fails at the section where it uses the LocalNet access number, user name and password. It always fails the test at this point when it tries to verify the number and user information. I can plug a telephone into either jack on the back of the router and use the telephone without any problems, so I'm fairly certain the ISDN line is working properly.

The only information I don't have that is optional on these sections is the "Central Router PPP" information. Is this some information that I need that I don't have access to? If so, can someone that has this information send it to me? Also, do I need any DNS or WINS server iformation.....or any other information for that matter to successfully complete my setup?

If it matters any, I've also tried using a MSN Dial-Up account with the same results.

Thanks for any help with my issues!

I finally got it fixed. For future reference please make sure you switch type is correct. In my case I used the Auto Detect option in the CISCO Fast Step software and it detected the wrong switch type. Once I changed it to the proper switch it worked fine.

There are some tweaks that you'll be wanting to do. I've been too busy to post a config or anything for you.

In the mean time, use it, but know that fast setup isn't the greatest and with some help you can do better.

Sorry for the teaser. I'll try to post a config relatively soon.

aeblank....Thanks for replying. I would definitely appreciate any tweaks that you can provide.

I've already noticed that when you try to place a call to one of the ISDN lines, that the modem does not disconnect either of the lines and cause the phone to ring so that you can answer a received call. It does work when you pick up a phone attached to the modem and need to place a call though.

Thanks Again!

To have it interrupt a connection I believe you have to have a certain package from AT&T. I don't remember what it is called (similar to call waiting).
