Re: [FP] Need some Deal-Finders to get busy!!!

Erin, will Home Premium work for you or do you need the additional capabilities of the full OS?

That will be fine, sorto! I won't be doing anything special with it...it's just got to be able to see my wireless!
I'll pony up for a wireless adapter for the rig, if that's OK with the board?

OK, the reason I asked that is because I remembered the problems Froggy had initially when he discovered he didn't have the remote desktop capability.

Good point, unless she has a port open on a KVM that would work.

Yes, I have a spare monitor. Thanks for checking!
If I really get lazy (the spare bedroom is seriously less than 15 feet from the living room) I can install a VNC program. I don't think it will come to that.

Sounds like you are set then.

Is it a good idea for the Pres get the approval going for this quickly and gets all in motion for Erin to make the purchase and get reimbursed 'n all before the offer expires?

I, for one, think we oughta' move fast.

Glad you woke me up Sunny. I realize we had the BOD approve Erin as a new OP, but I failed to get a general membership vote!

The purchase should be pre-approved based on the other thread, but I will use THIS thread to have the vote so folks can read all about it!!!

SO----- Please vote YES or NO to approve emansman as a new OP, AND to proceed with the purchase of a new Foldy Boxen for her to put to use!

I had difficulties with several different VNC clients while trying to set up Foldy4 monitorless. I finally went with sorto's suggestion of Logmein, which works fine. Of course, I had to temporarily hook up a monitor just to set up the new computer and Logmein.

BTW I vote ... yes!
