VPN and Comcast

I have a few questions about vpn and comcast. I have the latest version of cisco vpn (not sure of the number). I have Verizon dsl right now and it works fine. Although I need a faster connection for my other pcs in my house and there is not a faster connection available in my area except comcast. I have been reading on the internet that there has been problems with vpn and comcast. I am spoke to comcast and they said it should work but they don't provide support for vpn problems. I was wondering if anyone else has comcast and uses vpn, if it works and if not how did you resolve it?
I only use this computer maybe 2 times a month for vpn, but when there is a problem I NEED vpn for work.

I have not had any problem getting VPN, both hosts and clients, to work on a Comcast connection. Have used Cisco, AT&T and Windows VPN clients and have not experienced any issues. But as usual, YMMV.

No problems with any VPN and Comcast when I had it.

(I moved and Comcast isn't available here)

In some areas (mine for example) Comcast has implemented a filter to block VPN clients calling it a non-consumer application. They will sell you an upgrade to a teleworker option for something like $10.00 more. A number of my co-workers have been blocked in this way. Many have paid the the extra cost and some have switched ISPs.

I have to use a teleworker rate on Comcast to allow remote users to VPN.

I have a VPN connection to a residential Comcast location in SW Florida, and haven't had a problem in the year or so I've had it.

Same here. Comcast rolled it out earlier this year in some areas I cover. I have not heard how widespread this policy will become.

Unlike a/some posting(s) prior to yours most postings on this site are accurate and try to be helpful. I wonder why a few people feel insults and/or name calling is useful.

I live in Seattle and I'm having the same problem. What areas are people in who are having Comcast extort them?
