Same here in SF bay area 415 AC. I can ping DNS servers altho the delay seems much larger. In the 80 ms range. Normally 20MS range. All connects test ok and show that I am "up" but can't go anywhere. I am using default public network to reach Internet but also can't reach EL on the web either

I can get to everywhere on the net except earthlink.net. DNS working.

www.earthlink.net, kb.earthlink.net and home.earthlink.net all resolve to IPs, but personal web space and hosted domains don't load. Probably a power and/or server outage.

EDITED: I was being scatterbrained and misunderstood what my software told me.

I called the 888 number and there is a message that you may have problems connecting to the Earthlink web sites. They say they are working on it.

yah, here in socal, can not get to earthlink site only. everything else works as usual. usually when this happens i can't even access the internet, so this time is not so bad. just can't get emails yet.

Sorry, let me clarify my previous post, as I misunderstood what some of my software was telling me:

I can ping home.earthlink.net and www.earthlink.net, meaning that DNS resolves to an IP. I can't load any pages.

I can ping those as well from SF bay area. Same problem no page load. Looks like EL is having "issues" this AM

Our company e-mails and DNS is down. Going to go pay a visit to the legal dept for possible legal action.

Yes, that is my problem also. I can ping but pages do not come up.

It is out in San Mateo, California. No email. My shopping cart, home page, tech support are all down. I hope everybody makes sure to demand a refund for the service down time.

Earthlink POP3 and webmail [earthlink.net etc. addresses, not hosted domains] are working, as is myaccount.earthlink.net. Nothing else is loading. Normally, my.earthlink.net loads when signing out of Earthlink webmail. What's loading now is a skeleton of the normal page with a notice that the site is experiencing technical difficulties.

Down here in Socal too. Called customer support, waited 30 minutes to get a person (who sounded like they were from India) on the line. Totally no help. I couldn't even get them to tell me how long it was going to be down.

I'm losing a lot of money right now. I've been using Earthlink hosting for the last 7 years, but I think I will need to change services. I can let 1-2 hours go, but this is ridiculous.

Anyone able to get an answer from these guys?

Check it now. My personal webspace just loaded. It's been down all day.

I can get to the "My Account" page but not anywhere else.
