Okay you say it's likely me.
I have my PS3 connected with a wire directly to the router.
And I still get disconnected all the time and this just happened recently. What do you mean ping the psn servers. It's not just the PSN servers its to EA servers I get disconnected from too.

@shawcable.net		 I used to have that problem, swapped my router for a GB netgear, and I haven't been disconnected since.
