That's good news David.
You know, I have often wondered why companies ignore issues like this. Why does it take a site like DSLReports to make AT&T sit up to realize that there an issue? -- Tom |

1 edit | I don't think it had anything to do with this site or anything. The fix was just allow opendns. Truthfully it's hard to diagnose stuff like this if everyone just uses openDns because we would have never been able to see the data from the anycast system to diagnose. So in essence it goes undetected because everyone just "went around it".
Kind of like taking the "black box" out of the airplane, then complain it crashed and we got no data, and everyone is disappointed.
Morale of the story is be sure to leave it intact as much as possible. |

It's a very obscure issue that's easy to write off as a software or "local" network problem. U-verse has been around for a couple years now, and it's taken this long for enough of us to notice it's a systemic problem! Plus, it impacts some more than others. I still want to know why it seems to impact Macs more than PCs.
I'm just glad we have folks like David and DNSguy here to report issues like this to. -- AT&T U-Hearse Your funeral. Delivered.

SO essentially like I stated "take the black box out of the plane, and no one will notice till it crashes, that the box was missing." -- If you have a topic in the direct forum please reply to it or a post of mine, I get a notification when you do this.
