 IP Address Reservation

Im using a Netgear WGR614v6 (Firmware = V2.0.19_1.0.19NA) as a router for a home network. I need to utilize port forwarding/triggering for my computer, so i've set it up to trigger certain ports on my computer. The thing is, these ports are triggered based on IP addresses, and every time i turn on my computer, the router assigns me a different local IP address which means i have to log-in to my router and switch it. I have IP reservation turned on and i reserved 192.168.1.2 for my computer (via MAC address) but that doesnt seem to be working, im still assigned other IP addresses...any ideas on how to correct this problem??

thanks!

Verify you are using the correct MAC addresses (multiple adapters maybe?). Possibly a firmware issue if you have the correct MAC address as that is how IP reservation is done. As an alternative you could just use a static IP on the computer.

Why don't you turn off the DHCP client in the PC and set it with a static IP address?
