Idea for Homebrew game -FOR NINTENDO DS-

(Some information I provide from my knowledge may be inaccurate, and for that I apologize.)
Name: Spiritual Warfare
Release Date: 1992
Developer: Wisdom Tree
Original Platform: NES, later made for pc I believe

I myself am not a homebrew maker. Indeed, if I had the patience for this type of programming, I would be hittin' the books right now. Since I have little patience, I was going on this website to use my suggestions for the better benefits of any one person that lived and played in the 90's.
I have been wondering if a homebrew developer has done or thought about developing a homebrew game of "Spiritual Warfare" this game was released in 1992, and for me, was exciting, as I played it in the late 90's as a youngster.
Today, I am searching for it via google and have not had any luck so far.

Nonsense replies are unwanted, thank you for reading, and if indeed you may visit any other websites that you believe would look deeper into this idea please, by all means, copy and paste my post. Perhaps even post a link to another forum?

Thank you for everything
Special thanks to DSLreports.com for providing such a great website for us all.

There is an nes emulator for the the DS -

download the nes rom set, and play it like that.

Hello and thank you for your response.

The website I had downloaded the NES emulator is here:
»dl.qj.net/NesterDS-v0.3-Nintendo···atid/233

The website I used to learn what to do with the NesterDS is here:

I downloaded the Spiritual Warfare NES rom from here:

I do know that there are other methods of emulation (whatever emulators are anyways) but I usually was impatient (need to improve on this) and just clicked on the first result.

If anyone could help me to get further along my trail of helplessness and impatience to show me the right way to complete this ordeal, I would gladly appreciate.

Thanks for the responses

I do not own a DS, but i will share my experience with my last psp.

FIRST: the psp firmware had to be flashed and custom firmware (CFW) was installed.

SECOND: Homebrew programs had to be placed in a particular folder, as well as roms.

THIRD: you may have to adjust settings inside the emulator once its running

a good website to star with is »www.ngemu.com/nds

Purchase this:

You can run your emulators on the DS from it.
It just slides into the top game port on your DS (not sure if this one is compatible with DS Lite)

do you actually need to buy anything to mod your DS?

You don't need to mod the actual DS. You only need the R4DS to run the games on.

Emulator and ROMS go on a microSD card.
MicroSD card goes into R4DS.
R4DS goes into the Nintendo DS game slot.
Boot the DS.
Done.

A while back, I bought an AceKard 2 from dealxtreme.com and also a kingston 2 x 2GB micro sd cards with a regular sized SD card adapter from newegg.com.

Downloaded the firmware from acekard2.com

Finally, started to download homebrew applications. (*.NDS files).

I do not know any physical modifications to the unit itself.

I feel as though it is possible that I would be able to do more with a replacement card (that requires Micro SD) and some applications then to take the handheld DS apart.

R4DS:

AceKard 2:

AceKard 2i:

Kingston 4GB (2GB x 2) MicroSD Flash Card Twin Pack
(I used this set for my AceKard 2. Since I have an SD card reader):

It all depends on what you need or want to use. I was recommended the AceKard 2 by a friend, so I followed-through, purchased a couple items, and in about 2-4 weeks, I was all set.
