 [Connectivity] InsightBB issues

Has anyone had any problems in the louisville area with their broadband? My IP address changed on Sunday night around 11:15pm and ever since then I have had spotty service at best. Here is the monitor I have set up from this site:

Anyone else having issues?

Out in the Shelbyville Area (Same Headend) and I have not been seeing any problems. You running the 20.0 or 10.0 service, those go back to different servers?

Hey Singular,

Thanks for the response. I am on the 10.0 service. Whatever has happened seems to revolve around the IP address changing. The weird part is this has happened before and it seems like it was when my address changed before.

Any thoughts?

To be honest I am not sure, but if it is centering around just an IP address I would say that it has something to do with the routing at the headend. Get in contact with InsightTech 5 or Paul and they should be able to get you going in the right direction.

Yea for maybe a week? Gaming in anything where ping is an issue is basically a no go, as it bounces from 20ms to 300ms.

Edit - What area are you in? this is in the Fairdale area, what used to be the Okolona hub, but I have no idea what the hub setup is anymore.

On my end, when I loose connection, I completely loose connection, with only 2 lights on my modem, when I check my router, I can't get an IP address from the modem.

I swear this happened back 6 months ago when they changed my IP address.

I am in the Jtown area-40299

Makes me wonder if they got it fixed? Usually if you tell them about it, they are pretty good about fixing stuff.

Yeah but this time I didn't tell them. Everytime I noticed it being out, I didn't have time to call. Several times I did reset my modem. I was talking to someone else the other day who has insight and said they were having similar issues as well. Funny thing is I was looking back through some old emails and private messages from this board. Six months ago when it went out, Insight tried to tell me it was some spyware, when I proved them wrong on that, they wanted to send a tech out to "check my lines". I told them to forget it because they had just checked my lines a couple of weeks earlier for some jittery pictures on my HD. I guess that is really the main reason why I didn't call.

Who knows but I don't really want to rejoice to soon.

Well when I say tell them I mean post about it here, I know they have many employees that read this forum along with the President and other top execs there. Anyway if I were you I would keep my fingers crossed. Good Luck!

Not sure...haven't made it home from work yet. I was just checking the site from work. I am hoping it is nothing more than they changed my IP address and all I have to do is change it in the monitor setup.

Well I did speak to soon. It went out again last night. They didn't change my IP once yesterday but twice. Lets hope they get it right eventually.

Wow, I can't believe that your IP is getting changed that much. I have had the same IP address for quite sometime, it usually only changes if you are changing the device connected to the modem. Is your modem actually going out? Or are all the lights staying on and it's not passing any traffic?

Well two of the four lights go out. The two that stay on blink in together. When I look at the modem webpage, it keeps trying to "sync".
