| Does XOHM work in DC anymore?
I'm in DC and I had been using XOHM w/ the Home modem for about 5 months...all was well until late April/early May, when service just stopped one day.
Since then I haven't been able to connect at all.
I know that the DC area is still just under soft-launch and was never "officially" launched - so I did expect this to happen at some point.
I'm just curious...does anyone in the DC area know what's up with XOHM/SprintWiMAX/Clear/Clearwire/Clearwagon/Clearasil? |

| Same happening here in Philadelphia and every other cities that have Xohm signal but all suddenly dead in the water.
It seems Xohm has disconnected their service in any cities which have signal but not officially launched yet.
I don't know why and for what reason because all customers using Xohm outside Portland, Atlanta, Baltimore are actually paying the service.
Cutting off service like this is a bad experience. |

@spcsdns.net | reply to JTTech XOHM works just fine in northwest DC. I get good signal in Adams Morgan, for instance. |

| reply to JTTech I had good XOHM service in the GWU area of DC from mid-November until the end of January, none since. Several XOHM kiosks in Baltimore-area shopping malls have closed, and some staff, including the guy who was supposed to be the Washington-area regional manager, have been let go. I terminated my membership in February but left my desk modem set up. It has never indicated a signal since then. I note that the Clearwire (not XOHM) web site indicates that Clearwire serves smaller markets across the country and charges more than XOHM charged. I can't help but wonder whether Clearwire bought XOHM just to eliminate a competitor. |
