I thought it was some sort of welcome ceremony. |

| reply to DKS Wow, kind of makes me wish I was at work today to see it.
Seeing that thing land will be something. Will have to figure out the landing times so I can time to be at the window. -- »www.codecipher.com - Marking the way to tomorrow's solutions -- Did you know that Perl is not Dead? »perlisalive.org/ |

| reply to DKS About 3:30 I was in a parking lot in Burlington (about 30-40 kms west of PIA).
I looked up and saw this MASSIVE plane just floating like a giant bird. At first I thought it wasn't moving--it was flying that low and slow. It did a 180 degree turn and headed back toward Toronto.
p.s.Our city (Burlington) is the home of the pilot. I am sure he was looking to see if his house was still there. -- It's as clear as mud--but, it covers the ground Visit CanChat! |

The first three are concepts done up by Airbus. The last one is inside one of the luxury-class suites available on Singapore Airlines (SQ). Yep, on some airlines you will be able to book your own private bedroom on these things.
And before anyone gets any ideas, SQ has already thought of it and banned it ... quote: "If couples engage in inappropriate activities we will kindly request them to stop. There are acceptable and unacceptable things in an airplane. The same rules apply in the double suites as in the rest of the airplane," a SQ spokesman said.
Australian couple Tony and Julie Elwood who were one of the first couples to book such a suite don't understand. "They give you a double bed, privacy and loads of champagne but won't allow you in the most natural act that could come of this".

Must have been one heck of a change order. |

| reply to Wolfie00 I doubt very much that aspiring mile-high club members are going to forego what can be done on a double bed if they can do it in the washroom !

| Unfortunately, with what airline travel is these days, you don't want to be accused of "failing to comply with the orders of flight crew" -- or barricading yourself in the suite and refusing to open the door! You would get an interesting reception committee when the plane landed!
I suspect, though, that Western airlines wouldn't have such "rules". I think this just reflects Singapore's notoriously strict and conservative culture. -- "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity" -- a corollary of Murphy's Law "A dog is like a child who never grows old ... always there to love and be loved" -- Aaron Katcher

| reply to DKS Where is a good spot near the airport to go and sit to watch the planes come in? I've gone over to the Tim Hortons or Wendys parking lot once on Airport road but its not overly ideal. Anyone have some good site seeing tips? --
