Re: Paving

How much does it cost to pave a driveway? I'm in need of this being done, maybe not this year but next year definitely!

You got to figure 1.50-1.70 sq ft for 2" compressed to 1.5. That is paved over the existing asphalt. For a complete re-do (take up the old, regrade, etc) figure twice that much.

I had my drive done at the same time the private road was done, so there was a little break, but not much.

Get 3-4 estimates. We got 3 and they were all over the place.

We are having ours done as we speak....

They came a few weeks ago and removed our existing, cut out some tree roots that were causing problems, and put in a 6" base.

We are waiting for it to settle and they will be back to put down 3" of blacktop.

Our drive is 96' x 8'. Total is $2800.

I wish! I wasn't home when they did the initial part. Hopefully I'll be around when they lay the blacktop. I love that smell!

I'm sorry to report that there will not be any pics coming from me. I went home last night to find my driveway completed!

Looks great!

Pics of your car doing a burnout; breaking in the new driveway?
