Re: SB6120 - Time is wrong

said by Zorlac :

I noticed that the time is wrong when I login to my Motorola SURFboard SB6120 via 192.168.100.1.

Resetting to factory defaults, restarting, etc. do not fix the problem.

Motorola says to get firmware updates from the ISP. My ISP (Comcast) claims they do not do firmware updates on modems.

Any ideas on how to fix the time? I am guessing it is a Standard vs. Daylight Savings Time issue.

I live in Spokane, WA USA.

Here is the info about my modem:

Model Name: SB6120
Vendor Name: Motorola
Firmware Name: SB6120-1.0.1.7-SCM00-NOSH
Boot Version: PSPU-Boot 1.0.0.4m1
Hardware Version: 1.0
Firmware Build Time: Mar 20 2009 17:48:45
Thats March 20th date is for when the firmware was released, and that the newest one they have out atm. Because im with Cox for my ISP, and that the lastest one they are pushing to the modem.

Anyways thats not your time and date. that just the modems firmware info page pretty much.

EDIT: The correct time and date will be on the main page which is the page that loads when you first load this page »192.168.100.1/

Or your cell phone, your vcr, your cable box, watch, clock on the wall, microwave, tv guide channel, etc.. If you have a hard time knowing the time, i think you need a new watch or clock radio!

I just stated a fact for comparison purposes, and to reinforce what I stated about not all makes and modems display it there. So your point is ??

My point is.. the 6120 T&D info is on the main page, and your post had nothing to do with what he asked. All you did was bring up another model of modem, and we were not talking about it.

So until motorola does some kind firmware update to move this kind of info, and if they ever even do that on this model of modem. So until something like that happens, What i posted was only correct, and what you posted really had nothing to do with the question regarding the 6120 modem.
