Another day, another gun fight in Halifax....

There has been a sudden increase in gunfire in Halifax this year... We recently had four incidents of gunfire in four days...

Halifax is slowly evolving from a big town to a big city mentality...

The press is very careful how they answer that question.
They do say this.
"Witnesses saw a black man wearing a dark, baggy jacket fire three shots and then run away after Monday's shooting.

Staff Sgt. Sean Auld tells News 95.7, witnesses to last night's shooting saw someone similar fleeing the scene."

canada		 You are probably right.
I worry about my wife,she works in the north end at Northwood. Due to the labour shortage she ends up working 12hr. and 16hr. shifts,so she is walking to her car at all hours of the night.

Yeah I saw the coloured part, I haven't been to Halifax in a decade but didn't recall it as being racially diverse so I was wondering if these were new arrivals or just part of the local scenery. We have several new ethnic gangs here in Ottawa that tend to taint some perceptions, particularly the new Somali arrivals (aka Ledbury-Crips). Thankfully, they have used violence sparingly and have kept it confined to their intended targets when they do strike. They were migrating West, but the Oil bust brought most back. Not impossible that they have some members out East looking for "opportunities".

 More gun play today in Fairview which is a community in Halifax.... They are getting pretty brave as once more it was in the afternoon....

Last night a gunman opened fire outside a popular Tim Horton's in Halifax... Luckily no one was harmed...
