|  [Cable] Used cable moden any good?
It looks to be in very good shape and comes with the software install disk.
I noticed it is on the comcast compatible modem list, it's only 6 bucks, so I figure it's worth the gamble.
Anyone who has used the modem and can comment on if it's a good modem or not?

| Can't say for any other providers, but if you're on a Comcast connection don't bother. Theyr'e going all 2.0, 3.0.
beyond taht those units were/are notoriously bad. They go weak that power supply connection so drop due to that (there was a recall at one point), & they have lousy shielding so get ingress issues from anything/everything | |

| I'm using a Moto SB5100 I found in a car from the auction at work, Comcast activated it with no issues.
I found a 2Wire Home Portal at the local thrift store too, too bad DOCSIS is MAC-bound for authentication than user/pass like PPPoE/DHCP DSL connections. | |
