utorrent and port forwarding ?

i am trying to use utorrent and it says for best speeds to
have your port forwarding open.when i test it in utorrnet it says mine is not working properly. i have a 9000 modem is there anywhere to open port forwarding.

It works if you have a static IP address.

go into ur router's settings and go to port forwarding and open the port ur client is using.
it has nothing to do with HughesNet or ur modem, trust me i use uTorrent and i have the HN9000 modem.
I do although recommend using it during the FaP Free Zone (2am - 7am) to set up the timed torrents go to ur scheduler in utorrent's preferences ^_^

will the scheduler start downloads automatically or will it just stop them .i've tried setting it but the downloads don't start.

Did you try what I suggested in my PM?
Did you get a real-time download to work OK?
...and the scheduler works fine. Read the utorrent tutorials.
