I got (well, am getting) $225; two neighbors who signed up at the same time got $0. Why? We were all signed up by a door-to-door saleswoman. She was trying to sign me up late the day she was here; She called AT&T to register me; they dropped her call because it crossed over into the time when the call center closed. (Should have been a omen.) She offered no cash back deals at all. She said she'd come back the next day to complete the sign-up. Luckily, she was late, and I used the time to check the ATT site for offers. $225. When she arrived & I gave her this info, she said they (door-to-door) usually don't offer the cash-back deals, but she would "put in the request." I got the redemption card today. Moral of the story, if there is one...do your homework first! |

Geez, I got nothing! I hate to make it worse (I'm only offering this so that other people might take advantage of it) but....mine has now gone up to $350.
I got the reward redemption notice in the mail last week, but when I went to the website to check it out, it said I had no qualifying rewards. I had to get on the phone to follow up; the rep I finally reached said that the $25 gift card I was to have received was no longer available, so she gave me one for $50. At the time, she also asked "did you switch from cable?" Yes. I gave it no thought at the time, but apparently (as noted by chicknfood above) this can qualify you for *another* incentive; when I checked the redemption status today, I found yet another option for an additional $100 gift card. So assuming it all goes through, that's two $100 checks from AT&T, and two VISA cards for $100 and $50.
Wow. It's annoying to have to chase all this down (it *should* have all happened automatically, per their ads) but...hey, it's money. And it makes me wonder...how can they be making these big offers?! Do they figure most people won't follow through in chasing down the "rebates?" |
