Connection lost in Toronto tonight?

Twice tonight I lost my internet connection in Toronto. Once at around 12:06am and just recently at about 1:42am.

Anyone else have this happen?

Update: Had another loss of internet at 2:11am. My connection is strong and without any errors. I checked Teksavvy's website and no maintenance tonight.

Bas2-Toronto06 is what I connect to

Not here, via bas3-toronto02 or bas15-toronto63
Did you lose sync or just PPP?

Just PPP. The light on my 2-wire modem just went out...it didn't flash red.

No PPP Connection

"No PPP connection" (Assuming Bell Wholesale ISP client)

Please comment, critique, correct, improve:

Does your modem sync?
N: Your phone line is not connected to a DSLAM. Call ISP. STOP.
Y: Look at your modem's Line Stats. (Including DSL Uptime.) (Post them).

Can your PPPoE client reach an Access Concentrator?
N: Call ISP. STOP.
DK: Hm. (Your PPPoE client should know.) Go on then ...
Y: Good. Make a note of it. Does it begin with BAS? N: call ISP. STOP.

Can you authenticate with your ISP's account?
Y: You're done. STOP.

Can you authenticate with test@test / test
Y: call your ISP. STOP.
N: consult your PPPoE client's log; maybe retry later, depending on messages; then call ISP.

My stats as reported by my 2wire modem
Internet went down again tonight. Was watching movie with the wife and when I came back around 2am it was down. It took at least 18 minutes for it to unscrew itself.

I rebooted my modem but forgot to check the log before doing so. Not sure how many times or for how long it went down past midnight. Worked fine all day.

This time I completely lost sync.

Everything back up to normal with good connection now.

Same here. Had sync, but couldn't surf and then a few minutes later I lost sync for about 20 minutes (rebooted modem a few times).

I'd like to point out that this isn't a Teksavvy issue. I'm on Bell's network right now, and I also lost sync (my 2wire stated "No Physical Link").

Ya while I had sync I tried logging on with my friends Bell account and couldn't get logged in.

Okay thanks for replies guys. It seems like tonight's problem was unrelated to what happened to me yesterday. Bell beavers must have been chewing on wires.

Teksavvy here in Montreal, with static IP. It's been more down than up for the last 30 minutes, which causes me some concern, as I run mail gateways for several client domains on this link.

I am posting this from my second broadband link (Videotron cable), if anyone wonders how I can be posting while my link is acting up...
