The first Chairman Report located here: »ChairR #1 -What is Project Hope? (For our newer TD members) Dealt with many issues of past history about our wonderful project in case anyone had missed anything here are some key points.
The Past
In the first Chairman Report we had a chance to see where the project has been, the history of the project, which included original links and references to past board members. We opened the floor to questions on the project. And had links to FAQ about Project Hope. We had wonderful pictures of past open blades and current closed dell quad boxes. There where links to show exactly who is hosting our blades and to the hosts in some cases their adopted babies. We had an excellent break down of what are roughly costs to run a blade. I actually wanted expand on this with a chart as it seems it makes a huge difference in cost depending upon where you are located.

We also touched on the near and dear subject of the projects mascot and what they prefer to eat.
When we started Project Hope we had two separate projects that have since closed and now we are running WCG exclusively. Since then TSC has ended as well as UD, but you can still view the contribution that TDPH had on the two projects: Closed project, and statistic: »team-discovery.net/tsc/index.html »team-discovery.net/phase1/ »team-discovery.net/grid/index.html
Now that we have had a recap of the project and a look at past accomplishments lets have a look at the current status of the project and where we will be headed. The current stats on a daily basis of TDPH can be found here as well as the rest of the members: »team-discovery.net/wcgstats.html
The Present
Over the years you might have contributed money to the project and you might have even contributed parts that where sold off. Today you can see exactly in real time where all of those contributions have gone. With the links below you can see the total contribution of project hope to WCG as well as individual blades in real time for each host: Live TDPH Blade Stats: »www.disco.mine.nu/tdph/ »www.team-discovery.net/dyn/Wuser···JECTHOPE »www.tdprojecthope.com/index.php?···rt&id=13
The complete break down of parts and what each host has at their homes can be found here: Inventory list: »Team Discovery WCG BOINC FAQ »TDPH Hosts - Complete Inventory List
If you are more of a technical person and want to see where all of this work is going you can take the link below: Active Projects: »Team Discovery WCG BOINC FAQ »Where can I get an status of how the projects are progressing
The Future
Six years ago I was doing these Chairman reports and compared to today and all the developments and advances, it almost seems we where in the Stone Age back then. The team (Hosts, Board, TDPH home page, FAQ) have taken huge leaps since. We are at the point where everything is so streamlined that many items, that would in the past, taken months now take weeks. As long as we have the necessary funds we will keep striving to upgrade and become more efficient in the way we run the project. Currently we have collected many parts from our members, that where in turn sold off on E-bay. The money was just enough to buy a brand new Quad blade. The process was expedited even further, because now we have a list of who will get the new blades, which will take the place of the old ones. The latest host who is to get the new blade is Jason. With that said, I would like to announce that we have made a purchase from Dell on a very good deal and you can see all the specifics on the equipment here:

Next update will hopefully have this new blade up and running and a nice jump in statistics.
I am very happy and proud to make this announcement. This is further proof that what we are doing is working and that the project is growing and advancing. I am looking forward to reporting more good news and I hope that the new members that join us daily will jump on the wagon and take ownership of the project.
Thanks for the time, Slava |
