Yes, Verizon carries "those junk channels" HDNet and HDMovie Net but Time Warner carries those "stellar" HD networks RFD and Mav TV. I have yet to see anything on a full screen on RFD-HD. I personally believe the 8 hour cattle auction should be in 1080I and not in 480I. | |

| Looking at the Amherst Verizon line up, These are the channels that TW currently does not carry or have announced they will carry. Pretty lame considering most of these channels are either west coast feeds of movie channels, Viacom owned channels that show very little HD content and a few made up HD channels. Verizon was always lame, but they get lamer by the second.

Verizon was always lame, but they get lamer by the second. viacom owned channels are just now going hd now so give it some time before u see more HD content. lot of channels start off with upconverted SD content then eventually have more HD content. verizon lame? haha..how about TW not offering docsis 3 while comcast promises docsis 3 across all their systems by end of 2010. | |

| Good for Comcast. TW is deploying DOCSIS 3, right now in NYC only but other areas may follow. Didn't Verizon deploy Fios first in NYC? well yes and no. I know Keller, TX was the first place to see Fios TV, but NYC was the first widespread launch Only makes sense to do these type of projects in highly populated areas, and NYC would qualify as that. But since this is about new HD channels, not broadband service, I'm not sure why you even brought it up. And as for the Viacom channels, my uncle has Dish Network, they just got the them not to long ago, and I still have yet to see anything in HD, more importantly I have yet to see anything even worth watching. Aside from Comedy Central, I could careless about them. Viacom has a strong history of ruing channels anyhow. Personally I was hoping they were all going to removed from Time Warner at the begging of the year. And FYI about 'just going HD, give it some time'. It's been nearly 3 years now since MTV HD, VH1 HD and CMT HD first launched on DirecTV. Spike HD came a little while later. 3 friggen years, how much longer do they need?
Verizon Fios TV really offers nothing I can't get from Time Warner already, yay I'd get a few channels I'd never watch.
