| Toasted Zywall UTM 5
A lightning strike got into an adjacent building and burned out a 3COM switch and it got into the cabling system. Took out a linksys, a netgear and the Zywall UTM 5. All I get is a power light and switch port 3 & 4 with the 100Mbps amber light on solid.
As it is over 2 years old I am assuming that it is not repair worthy either by anyone, however, any ideas on how I can test the TurboCard that came with it? If it is still functional I can save some $$ and get another Zywall 5 perhaps.
In case anyone asks, we are installing some isolation filters in the outer buildings to block anymore voltage incursions across the network cable.

| reply to ricep5 If the other buildings are on a different power feed, you should be electrically isolating your network by feeding those buildings with fiber. Not only can a lightning strike take out equipment, but bad grounds and brownouts can also. Most equipment will try to make up for the bad ground and voltage differences via the cat 5 sometimes. |
