speed/latency - NYC Verizon BB Extremely Slow These Days?

For about 2 weeks now, my broadband service (the $30 one) from Verizon has been extremely slow. I haven't called them yet, but I want to know if anyone else is experiencing this?

I live really close to the Verizon building, my service should be almost 100% fine, my router is quite new with the antenna removed (Westell 327W), my cables are fine, what the hell is going on?

All my network settings on my PC are fine, I know this is a Verizon problem.

Can you post up the transceiver stats from your modem and run a line quality test from this site's tools section?

in NYC system wide, Verizon seems to be fine.
I'm on 24/7 and have not noticed any problems
for nearly a year now.

after triple checking your computer, I would
put in a service call to check your last mile.

Yes -- I'm having same issue here in Manhattan. It began mid-day on Wednesday and finally appears to have resolved early today (Friday). Download speeds were OK, upload weren't.

I have been experiencing very low upload speeds lately, with occassional problems maintaining sync.

Yeah, this is what happens with me, it'd work perfectly, then all of a sudden would go off. I never had problems with Verizon this much before... Bout to get either FiOS or Roadrunner (ugh!)
