Yea..and how much did you pay for it? Or what is the response time, faster/cheaper and just as good..hm yea tough choice there.
??

Actually 1920x1200 monitors are usually no more expensive then 1920x1080. The real reason why monitors are going the 1920x1080 route is because of hdmi and 1080 being the broadcast/bluray standard.
I beg to differ. They are a bit more expensive from when I was looking on Newegg when I bought mine. I figured I might as well go full resolution. Plus the 2ms response time is damn good, which I didn't see on ANY of the "name brand" lcds.

My Samsung 226BW just died, so I ran over Best Buy and bought a ASUS VH232 for 209.00.
So far so good.

Alot of monitors today have moved toward 1920x1080. I hadn't bought a 24" since I got my dell 2407 in 2006, and I had a hard time finding any at 1920x1200...

Buying one because of the name is retarded.

Having said that.. I have this one
»www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a···24236033

Its plug and play and I'm now using it on Windows 7 without any problems.

For the features and price its a awesome deal. I game with it to and no problems.
that looks like they inflated the price with some extra crap connected to it.
I picked that one over the others (the same brand) because it has the 1920x1200 resolution.

My newest gaming monitor is a Samsung 2253BW LCD picked up from Newegg last summer. I love it, no dead pixels, excellent contrast ratio with very deep and defined black levels along with brilliant colors. No blurring in games such as COD4 and Quake4 and they look stunning in widescreen mode. Movies look very clean and clear. Looking back, I kind of wish I had gone with a 24 inch like you are planning to do. Spend time going through the customer reviews at Newegg for models that fit what you are looking for and you pretty much can't go wrong.

Good luck!

You can't go wrong with a Samsung or Asus LCD.

I myself have had a T220 NonHD for a good while now, and it's an AMAZING monitor.

Welp,
I have been looking at these

and

Both are the same $$$ except for the last one has free shipping
otherwise I THINK both are pretty much the same.
It will not be used as a TV at all, strictly for my PC

What ya think?

If your budgeting at $300-$400 I wouldn't settle for a cheap monitor. $300-$400 would net you a 24" nearly as good as a crt.
