Re: Lakers get the Cherry on Top: Artest! said by zaldy:said by Eagles LoveR:I just said the greatest ever averaged less than a "horrible" 43% in a couple of his great championship runs... also can't say anything to the fact that it took shaq 8 years to get his ring and he had to get it with kobe... and when he got his with Kobe dwade averaged an amazing 35 points a game and ESPN actually rates dwades performance as the best in NBA history A kobe hater will be always a Kobe hater no matter what. What is your point?
Well unless your like some on this board that love him when he is winning, and when he is only winning .500 they are riding some other player. -- Graphic Disorder |

I've been a Kobe fan after MJ retired for the 2nd time...I think that was back in 98. Also a 43 percent FG isn't horrible in my opinion...I think it is very good considering majority of those shots were tough shots. Those aren't point blank range...which a good center always do. Try to compare Kobe's FG with the same position and you can see 43 is very good. |

There are people here that are riding his train this year that were not just a year or two ago though. Its a funny thing.
I never commented on Kobe's FG %. But I can say its not as good as Jordans. Just another stat to look at. Dont try to tell us Jordan didn't have to hit tough shots. Alot of the ways Kobe is guarded today came from what teams learned guarding MJ. -- Graphic Disorder |

All I'm saying is 43% is not a bad percentage...its actually every good considering all the facts. I also never mentioned Jordan isn't hitting tough shots...I never compared Kobe to Jordan because Kobe came into the league when Jordan is about to go out. Jordan played the NBA in the 80's and 90's while Kobe in 90's and 00's. Not fair to compare. |

Eagles LoveRDawkins is a true EaglePremium join:2001-11-29 Trenton, NJ | I compared the 2... MJ shot 42.7% in the 98 playoffs while Kobe shot 43% this playoff... People are saying that Kobes shooting percentage stinks so then the great one isn't that much better -- "I done wrassled with an alligator, I done tussled with a whale, only Last week I murdered a rock, Injured a stone, hospitalized a brick, I'm so mean I make medicine sick!!"-Ali |
