I took my dog swimming and on the way back was listening to an interview with McNair (I'd guess from a month or 2 ago). And then they announced that he was dead. Just terrible news. |

Not a lot of details yet, police are still questioning a lot of people and have no suspects yet. McNair was shot in the head, the woman was not his wife, the woman owned the condominium they were found in. Initially reported as a homicide-suicide, now reported as a double homicide. |

The owner of the building is Charles Cardwell, a well-known Metro trustee. Cardwell said the unit where McNair and the woman were found was rented to Wayne Neeley, who worked or still works at Nashville Sporting Goods as a salesman. Cardwell, who also lived in the building, said the apartment was often vacant but that McNair used it when he came into town.
Neeley had rented the apartment for about four years, said Cardwell, who also said he isn't aware of previous problems at the apartment, which is near McNair's restaurant Gridiron9.
