Re: This MP3 player

Eh... are you assuming that the Zune is the second most popular mp3 player? I doubt that's true. Last I heard Sansa was outselling them about 3:1.

Just because you only know about mp3 players you've seen on TV commercials doesn't mean there aren't any others In addition to Sansa's budget players, Cowon, Sony, and Samsung have some very solid high-end players out right now, and Creative just announced one with some extremely impressive specs (32GB + SDHC, X-Fi, bluetooth, GPS, wifi, HD camera, built-in speaker and mic, HDTV out...and an open-source OS).

I just can't imagine recommending an $80 4GB screenless player (Apple's cheapest one) to someone looking for something inexpensive. It's so overpriced, unless you have a burning need to either use iTunes or lighten your load by 3/4 of an ounce.

Let me guess... you are an expert on mp3 players by virtue of having used one brand? Maybe 2?

I've owned 8 players since 2001 and used others belonging to friends and family, from Apple, Meizu, iRiver, Archos, Cowon, and Sansa. Believe me... I know what is inferior and what is overpriced.

But hey, if you want to spend double on a player with fewer features, go right ahead.
