Re: I just noticed I got switched to AT&T also.

Nope. Their website is offering 6.0 downloads.

Whose web site?

EL has offered 6.0 for Years on their web site and when you ordered it, it was only available if Covad was in your local CO. If Covad was not in your local CO then you were offered 3.0 as the fastest available speed.

Dear Ted,
As stated by Dr. Olds, previously you could only get 6.0 DSL service through Earthlink if COVAD was co-located in your Central Office switch.

Of course, something new might have changed so please post a traceroute with your newly provisioned 6.0 service.

Sincerely,
Tobester.

And are your sync rates are unchanged at 6016/768?

And unanswered, who's website? You never specified.

Also, why are you not calling in for a PM in your area? My 6.0 billing shows $54.95/Month, but that's not what I pay.

Everything's the same. If it weren't for this topic I never would have bothered to check.

The website I mentioned was AT&T's website. I did go ahead and order their DSL only with no phone signal at 6.0 download.
It starts Sunday night and on Monday I cancel my telephone number and my Earthlink DSL.
I'm hoping I can use the same DSL modem but I'll wait and see. Anybody know if Earthlink and AT&T require different modems???
