[Wired] wrt310n v2 slow down issue

I have wrt310n v2 and like it but got one issue with it. I have roadrunner cable and on speed test can hit almost 30mb. After this router been on for 12-24 hours best i can hit is 2-4 mb. In order to hit near 30 mb, i need to unplug it for a sec and plug it back in and it works fine. So basically it requires restart daily.

Is their any fix to this strange problem?

I really hope they will do something about this. I exchanged my Belkin N+ router for the Linksys WRT310N since my Belkin N+ was always randomly rebooting. Though its range and speed were really amazing.I thought I wouldn't have problems with the Linksys WRT310N. I hope a new version of the firmware for WRT310N V2 will be released soon. I don't want to go back to Best Buy for another RMA! If they were only selling the D-Link DIR-655 I would have chosen it in a heart beat!

Add me to the group, I saw this and thought my Powerline adapters were to blame. After rebooting the router, my speed went from 1.2Mbps to 95+Mbps for internal LAN transfers.

Very disappointing.

The issue with the wrt310N is that it overheats, IMO. When it overheats, it slows down, and then disconnects (or fails to retain a connection). Cisco/Linksys should have diagnosed this problem during development, but did not.

One solution, from my experiments with this dawg, is to elevate the edges of the router to provide at least one inch of elevation under the bottom plane., This works for a while until it again overheats. I lost patience with this unit and did not test it with the bottom plan against a wall.

Frankly, the wrt310N is a piece of junk, in my most humble opinion.
