VerizonDSL & SpeedStream 5260 How May I Rotate IPs on demand

Hello,

I need to be able to rotate Ip's on demand.

I just obtained Verizon DSL in So Cal they sent me a router model Wetstell 7500.

Verizon confirms that I have residential dynamic service and It does change Ips ever day.

I want to change several times a day on demand.

On the advice of a friend I obtained a SpeedStream 5260 modem which he said could allow me to change Ip's when I want.

I don’t see in documentation on the SpeedStream 5260 how to get into the SpeedStream's management software.

Powering off the SpeedStream waiting a few minutes doesn’t not obtain a new IP.

I run Win7 64 bit. With a direct connection from the modem to a nic card.

Can I rotate ip on demand be done with my setup?

Or should I load XP 32 on a partition to do so?

Thanks for any tips or leads you can offer.

I don't know why they would think that as the 5260 is a old ADSL only Modem (doesn't support ADSL2 or ADSL2+) and it doesn't have a Web Interface.

»Efficient Networks Forum FAQ »Where can I get Info, Docs and User Guides for the 5260?

The 5260 is pre-set to work with specific ISPs and the VPI/VCI pair may or may not be correct for your ISP. It can be tested for a connection and if you cannot get a PPPoE connection through the 5260 then the VPI/VCI is likely set to the wrong value for your ISP.

There is a Software that will allow you to change the VPI/VCI, but that doesn't mean the Modem will get your IP changed on demand.

»Efficient Networks Forum FAQ »Where can I find EnterNet 300 1.5c for changing the VPI/VCI in the 5260?

That is really a question for the Verizon Forum as I have no idea what lease times they set for PPP sessions and have no experience with Verizon as Earthlink/Covad are my providers.
