I thing I got a phishing scam

I am in such trouble, I have two email accounts, my primary account will not let me in it says the password is wrong, and my reset security question is wrong. My husband was on the email and he said he had opened a email that was questionable ever since then I haven't been able to get into my account. If this is a phishing scam that messed my account how do I fix it or can I?

Contact the administrator of the website. Would also suggest that you go to the Security Clean-up forum here at this forum......you could be infected........why take that chance.............check-out the Clean-up forum.

Easy MissRockinMa:

Step 1: Find a "known clean" computer and change ALL of your passwords pronto.

Step 2: if you do ANY types of online Bill pay, credit cards, etc..keep a VERY close watch on your accounts....just to be safe, I recommend calling your credit card company and having them issue you new cards...just tell them you suspect you may have been phished, they will change your account numbers and stuff no problem...I did this for my neighbor who got phishing scamed about 2 years ago...The credit card companies appreciate you letting them know ahead of time. so they can try to to catch the guy.

Step 3: In the future NEVER open emails from people you don't know, and treat ALL email attachments like a disease until proven otherwise...VirusTotal is very nice for checking attachments.

Step 4: Reformat the computer and reinstall to be absolutly certain your clean.

Best of luck to to you
