| opening ip passthrough with at&t on multiple computers
Hi, I am trying to allow my company IT guy to connect to my work laptop at home so that he can do his thing. I use AT&T DSL Westell, Versalink modem. I have called AT&T many times and they keep telling me that the needed ports are "open". They are not!!! I need to know how to enable IP passthrough on multiple computers connected to my modem. Does anyone know what I am talking about?? |

1 edit | This may help you get started: »AT&T Southeast Forum FAQ »How do I enable IP Passthrough on a Westell?
But most people do not use that method. I use TeamViewer. Most use that or something like it. It is free and you need not open any ports. It is just simpler to use.
Like I said it is FREE: »www.teamviewer.com/index.aspx

You do not install anything, they just run from like your desktop.

Your IT guy can connect to your work labtop at home by different ways.
1.He can use remote desktop connection 2.He can use a remote desktop software such as Team viewer 3.If you connect to your work network thru VPN,then he can login to your computer
May i know how he is trying to connect so that you can open the port accordingly. |
