| Options for sound.. on monitor with no speakers?
What options do I have for sound on a monitor with no speakers? I've got a Samsung 2253BW, and use a HDMI->DVI connection between my xbox and monitor.
I've got a Plasma 42" LG 720P TV, but it only has one HDMI and its a pain to move the TV to unplug my digital cable box and connect my xbox everytime I want to play.
I've got an adapter that connects to the red/white av plug ins from an old style xbox 360 vga connector - and allows me to plug in my 3.5mm 5.1 surround sound logitech speakers, however it will not plug into my xbox with the HDMI cable right below it. I hope that makes sense..
Any input? -- | Im not really a ego maniac im just really good at what I do... | |

| reply to Gundy You have four options here as far as I can reasonably see.
For monitor: Continue to use the HDMI and plug in the audio adaptor and just get RCA Audio Cables and use your adapter to plug in your Logitech speakers like you wanted.
For monitor: Forget using the HDMI cable and keep using the VGA cable and get a DVI to VGA Adapter and continue to use your Logitech speakers like you wanted.
For HDTV: Once again forget using the HDMI cable and get the 360 Component Cable then use the HDTV with both devices.
For HDTV: If you REALLY want to use the HDMI cable then get a HDMI Switch like the anon suggested and then use the HDTV with both devices. -- One time a person asked where the F button was on their keyboard. I told them they would find it next to the U button. |
