Verizon Fios connection issues.

I have advertised speeds of 20/5 for verizon fios internet but my computer that is wired with ethernet only gets 10/5 on a consistent basis. The computer that is hooked up to the router directly gets the perfect 20/5 speeds everytime. any reason for the discrepancy?

my model info is:

Platform: Westell UltraLine Series3
Model Number: A90-9100EM15-10

How about telling us the OS running on the two machines and the tool that you used to measure that 10/5 and 20/5?

I don't get the distinction. Aren't both computers hooked to the router with ethernet cables?

Have you run the FIOS optimizer on the second system?
